According to different reports coming from England, Diego Costa’s future might be tied to a sensational return to London and the Premier League.
Diego Costa’s exit from Atletico Madrid means that several clubs in Europe will try to sign him in January, especially from London. Costa left a good impression from his time as a Chelsea player regardless of how things ended with the Blues. According to several reports, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing the Brazilian player ASAP. It seems another battle of North London is about to take place for Diego Costa’s services.
On one side, La Razon reported that Jose Mourinho knows Diego Costa very well from their time at Chelsea together. He just demanded Daniel Levy to make him the Spurs’ top priority. Despite already having top players on the attack such as Son Heung-min or Harry Kane, Mourinho also wants a player like Costa due to the different virtues he has.
Arteta is also keen on Diego Costa.
Diario AS recently reported that Arsenal is one of the first clubs that requested information on Diego Costa and a possible transfer. Since he would come for free, the only hurdle to surpass is the player’s wages. However, Costa will be the one who makes the final decision. It will be up to both North London clubs to convince the striker on which is the best place for him to continue his career.
Diego Costa’s last great season was during his time at Chelsea, where he won the Premier League both under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte. While there might be more clubs that will try to sign the striker, it seems North London will be his next destination.
