A move to Italy for the reigning Best FIFA Men’s Player has been mooted with him having entered the late stages of his career.

Robert Lewandowski has shut down talks of a potential switch to Serie A saying he “feels great” at Bayern Munich.

Lewandowski has once again enjoyed a productive season, netting an astonishing 39 goals in 27 games to lead Bayern to a ninth successive Bundesliga title.

It has been suggested the 32-year-old, after seven highly successful years at the Allianz Arena, could be tempted to take on a new challenge and seek pastures new.

He has won 17 major honors including seven Bundesliga titles and a Champions League trophy ever since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer back in 2014. There have been no shortage of individual awards either, with the striker winning IFFHS World’s Best Man Player, UEFA Champions League Forward of the Season, UEFA Men’s Player of the Year, Bundesliga Player of the Season, Footballer of the Year in Germany among others.

The prolific Pole is tipped to follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and move to Italy, but he insists he has no intention of leaving Germany.

“I have spoken to a lot of people about Italian football, they told me various things about your league,” Lewandowski told Tuttosport

“I know some teams well because I faced them in the Champions League.

“The truth, however, is that in addition to having a contract with Bayern, I feel great at this club.”
