Spurs are said to have already agreed a deal with Inter to sign the Argentine attacker – but a move many never go through.

Lautaro Martinez is ready to ignore advances from Tottenham so as to stay put at Inter Milan, according to the player’s agent.

Tottenham are in search of someone to lead their frontline in the upcoming season as they prepare for life after Harry Kane, who is reportedly pushing for an exit from the club.

Lautaro is apparently a top target for Nuno Espirito Santo. Spurs are working on fulfilling their new manager’s wishes, and several sources even claim they have already reached an agreement to sign the forward for a sum in the region of £60 million.

However, Romelu Lukaku’s seemingly imminent move to Chelsea has now thrown a spanner in the works for the north London side as recent reports suggest Inter would be unwilling to lose both their main attackers in the same window.

“Tottenham’s offer? Lautaro is an Inter player and is happy in Italy,” asserted Lautaro’s representative, Alejandro Camano, speaking to FCInter1908.it.

“A contract renewal? Lautaro will never enter into conflict with the club to leave. Never. This is the reality.”
