The Belgian frontman is reportedly close to completing a comeback to Stamford Bridge after seven years.

Jorginho is excited about Romelu Lukalu potentially rejoining Chelsea as he believes the striker “would contribute a lot” to the team.

Lukaku has managed to restore his reputation as one of the world’s deadliest finishers during his time in Serie A after leaving the Premier League in the summer of 2018.

The former Manchester United seems destined to return to the Premier League this summer as he is set to join Chelsea on a blockbuster €115 million move after agreeing to a long-term contract worth €12 million per year with the London club, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a productive two-year spell at Inter Milan, notching up 34 goals in his first season at San Siro before notching up 30 more in their title-winning campaign last time out.

“A player like Lukaku, who has been enjoying great seasons and was a champion in Italy, for sure is a player who would contribute a lot,” Jorginho told TNT Sports in response to the Lukaku to Chelsea transfer talks.

“Anyone who comes to contribute would be worth it. Let’s see what happens next.”
