It’s time to analyze the possible starting eleven that Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham would have if they sign Gareth Bale and Reguilon.
It appears Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur might have a horse in the race for the Premier League after all. The Spurs are on the brink of signing Gareth Bale back on a loan from Real Madrid. They are also attempting to sign Sergio Reguilon from Los Blancos in order to form one of the most competitive squads in the Spurs’ recent history.
They already have competitive players on every line that made the club reach the 2019 Champions League final. However, Gareth Bale brings a whole new dimension to a club that we all thought would struggle to fight for trophies this season. Jose Mourinho repeatedly sent Daniel Levy indirect messages about the club’s lack of action in the transfer window.
It appears those attempts finally paid off. Both Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon are title-winning players who will give that experience to the club without question. It’s time to take a closer look at how Tottenham Hotspur might play with the Welshman on board.
An attack with Bale, Kane, and Son.
There is no other way to look at the starting eleven Mourinho will use for the upcoming season. The front three is a very straight forward formation with Harry Kane as the main striker, Son Heung-min on the left, and Bale on the right-wing.
This attack should be more than enough for the Spurs to challenge for every title this season. The rest of the squad will have Lloris as the goalie. Doherty, Sanchez, Alderweireld, and Reguilon in the back. And also a midfield line of three formed by Ndombele, Hojbjerg, and Lo Celso.
On the bench, we still have Lucas Moura and Dele Alli to support the other offensive players. Although Bale and Reguilon still haven’t been confirmed, the Spurs are counting on both players for the new season.
Where would you play Bale inside the Spurs’ lineup?
