The Blancos are keen to bolster their backline next summer, with Trent Alexander-Arnold emerging as one of their targets.
Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a move for Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold next summer.
The Blancos, who completed a massive transfer for Jude Bellingham, are reportedly eager to add another England international to their ranks.
According to Liverpool Echo, Real Madrid consider Alexander-Arnold as one of their top targets for the right-back position. The Spanish giants are reportedly preparing to submit a £70m offer for the right-back in the coming months.
Last summer, Real Madrid were heavily linked with a move for Reece James. However, it seems the Chelsea star’s constant fitness issues have convinced the Blancos to look elsewhere for a new right-back.
Another defender who has become one of Real Madrid’s main targets for next summer is Bayern Munich’s Alphonso Davies.
Similar to Davies, Alexander-Arnold’s current contract expires in 2025. Liverpool could come under pressure to sell the English star if they fail to renew his contract before the summer transfer window.
This season, Alexander-Arnold has made a total of 14 appearances for the Reds, providing three assists. With Mohamed Salah’s possible move to Saudi Arabia also looming, let’s see if Jurgen Klopp would allow another key star to leave Anfield next summer.
