Bayern Munich are yet to renew Davies’ current contract amid interest from several elite sides.

Alphonso Davies’ agent is surprised by reports linking his client with a move to Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich opened contract negotiations with Davies’ camp earlier this year when Hasan Salihamidzic was still in charge of the club’s transfers.

However, talks have been put on hold since the former sporting director’s sacking at the end of the last campaign. Since then, speculations have intensified over Davies’ future, with Real Madrid emerging as his main suitor.

On Tuesday, reports from Spanish media claimed that Davies has already rejected an offer from Bayern Munich. Fabrizio Romano went on to confirm that the Canadian star could leave Bayern for Real Madrid next summer.

However, Davies’ agent has dismissed the rumours, insisting that his client is focused on his Bayern career.

Asked by TZ reporter Philipp Kessler whether Davies has rejected Bayern’s offer to renew his deal, Nedal Househ responded: “That’s inaccurate. Right now, Phonzy is at Bayern Munich, that’s where his focus is.”

Since joining Bayern in January 2019, Davies has developed into a key player in the Bavarians’ backline. The Canada international has made a total of 171 appearances for Bayern, claiming the Champions League and five Bundesliga trophies.

With Davies’ contract expiring in 2025, Bayern will come under more pressure to extend his deal before the next transfer window.
