An impoverished Los Blancos dropped two crucial points in the La Liga title race on their most recent visit to the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Zinedine Zidane refused to use Real Madrid’s injury crisis as an excuse following their 0-0 draw with Getafe on Sunday.

Real Madrid had to call up players from the club’s reserve team for the trip to Getafe after two new players with fitness problems emerged before the game, leaving Zidane with only 13 fit outfield players.

Ferland Mendy and Fede Valverde joined Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Lucas Vasquez, and Dani Carvajal on the treatment table.

Eden Hazard had returned to training but lacked match fitness while Casemiro and Nacho Fernandez also missed the game due to suspension.

“We’re going to get out of this situation,” Zidane said on the injury crisis after the match, as per Marca.

“We don’t have limits. We’re going to keep fighting until the end of the season.

“Mentally, we’re good. We have to rest well and keep moving forwards.

“It is what it is. I have to congratulate the players. We have to keep going.”

Up next for Real Madrid is a trip to Estadio Ramon de Carranza for the La Liga match against Cadiz on Wednesday.
