As Real Madrid gets ready to play in Osasuna, Zinedine Zidane didn’t want to ignore the situation of two players within the squad.
Zinedine Zidane is genuinely worried about two of his players’ future at Real Madrid. Florentino Perez has made it a habit of not accepting the players’ demands when they are asking for more money in their contract extension. Just recently, Lucas Vazquez rejected an offer because he didn’t think it was good enough for him. Perez simply doesn’t see him as important as other stars might be but Lucas’ numbers speak for themselves.
Then we have the whole Sergio Ramos drama that has taken a life of its own. The Real Madrid captain is doing what he always does when he wants more money. He tries to give an impression that other clubs want to sign him in order to get a better paycheck. But he has done this three times already and Florentino Perez is tired of it.
Zidane wants to keep them both.
But much like it’s happened in the past, Zidane doesn’t seem to agree with Florentino Perez’s choices. All he wants is for the club to reach an agreement with both players and for nobody to leave the club. This will be difficult to achieve considering how stubborn Florentino can get sometimes. In his view, players should be grateful to play for Real Madrid and not the other way around.
After getting the greenlight from La Liga to be on the match against Osasuna. Zidane said the following to the press via Marca: “The most important thing is that we renew the players,” Zidane explained in his pre-match press conference.”I haven’t spoken with them about it, but it’s important that it gets sorted for the players.”What I want is for them to be prepared to play, to train, and to do things well, for me that is so important.”
