Zinedine Zidane confirmed the return of the Real Madrid main man ahead of their Champions League second leg against Chelsea next week.

Zinedine Zidane assured that Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos is fit and ready to take part in next week’s European battle. Los Blancos will face Chelsea in a crucial Champions League second leg fixture away from home at Stamford Bridge.

While away on international duty with Spain, Ramos sustained a calf injury and has been watching the games from the stadium.

However, according to Zidane, the Blancos main man will be available for the vital clash against the Blues next week. Along with the support of their captain, Madrid would love to keep their Champions League hopes alive with La Liga still on standby.

Ahead of their game against Osasuna, Zidane told the reporters: “[Ramos] is training with us and that means he’s able to play too.”

“We’ll see what we do when we name the squad, but Sergio is fit and ready to play.”

That being clarified, Zidane did not put his important man at risk by excluding Ramos from the roster for the Liga match.
