After a bust-up with Juventus coach, Alvaro Morata has received a solid proposal from Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez.

Juventus ace Alvaro Morata just might have the ultimate chance to switch to Barcelona as Xavi has shown a growing interest in the Spaniard.

According to reports from AS, Blaugrana boss has already reached in contact with the forward’s representatives. It seems like the Catalan club wants to steal Morata in the winter transfer window in the hope to fill the gap upfront.

Barcelona recently signed Ferran Torres from Manchester City, but the Juve star is on the priority list for the centre forward role. It has been indicated that negotiations have increased between Morata and his agent Juanma Lopez.

However, meetings between Barcelona, Atletico, and Juventus are yet to take place. Initially, Barca are looking for a 6-month loan deal with the option to purchase later. But, the 29-year-old will have compensate when it comes to his high salary, considering the financial situation at Camp Nou.

On the other side, if Morata manages to fly to Catalunya, Juventus will have to search for a goalscorer in the four-week transfer window.

Even though the striker has racked regular playing time, rumours suggest that there are some disputes with head coach Maximilliano Allegri. This happened after the sideline affair between the pair during Juve’s 2-0 win over Genoa this month.

Nevertheless, Morata has bagged seven goals and three assists in 23 appearances across all the competitions this campaign.
