Ajax’s new signing Sebastien Haller scored the club’s first goal this Thursday evening against Twente.

Sebastien Haller recently starred in Ajax’s most expensive transfer ever recorded. The Eredivisie champions had to splurge €22.5 million to secure the services of the 26-year-old striker, beating David Neres’s previously-held record by €500 thousand.

Nevertheless, it still looked like a bargain to some, as West Ham had paid over twice as much just one and a half year before. In fact, it already seems like the investment in Haller will be a good one.

The Ivory Coast striker scored his debut goal after just seven minutes into his first start for the club. Moreover, the player used his excellent aerial game to help Huntelaar seal the win against Twente.

Additionally, Haller had already offered his teammate Antony an assist after 19 minutes on the pitch against club-rivals PSV. In fact, this Antony-Haller is already being prolific. In the striker’s 52 minutes on the pitch, the duo provided Ajax with two very important goals. The second one, which you can watch below, was the header that also aided Ajax to remain on top of the Eredivisie.
