The FC Barcelona president allegedly claimed to know which club Lionel Messi will join to a fan and assured he did everything possible to keep him.
Joan Laporta has allegedly claimed that Lionel Messi will join Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
In a meeting with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli at the Botafumeiro restaurant in Barcelona on Saturday, Laporta apparently let slip Messi’s plans to a fan.
While what the Catalan said about the Argentine’s next club wasn’t filmed in the video below, the fan claims he told him: “Messi is going to PSG”.
In the Twitter video itself, Laporta said: “It would be great if he could stay here, but it’s not possible… I did my best.”

As things stand, Messi is reportedly waiting for a contract offer from PSG. Talks have been positive so far, and the Ligue 1 giants are confident of a deal.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner will hold a press conference on Sunday midday to bid farewell to Barcelona.
