Borussia Dortmund thrashed their local rivals Schalke with a 4-0 win in Gelsenkirchen.

Another Dortmund game, another Haaland brace. It seems like the Norwegian superstar just can’t stop hitting the net and his team are delighted for it. In fact, all of the Yellow and Blacks performed brilliantly tonight as they put their rivals to shame.

Borussia Dortmund has been somewhat inconsistent in the Bundesliga, only winning two out of their last five matches. Therefore, it was clear that this victory meant a lot for both players and fans. In fact, the result was so important for the German team that the fans burst into celebrations at the end of the match. Singing the well-known football chant of ‘Ole, Ole’, the Yellow and Blacks jumped up and down together on the pitch.

Moreover, the squad gathered out on the field in the end and delivered a gesture that their supporters won’t soon forget. Although no fans were allowed at the stadium this Saturday afternoon, Dortmund’s men wanted to make sure they knew their support still matters. Terzic’s players held hands near the stand where their fans would be, bowed, and gave three cheers in front of an empty stage.

Despite their enormous victory against Schalke, Borussia Dortmund still stands 13 points behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. In fact, the Yellow and Blacks are six points away from going into the fight for the league’s Champions League spots. Nevertheless, their big win this Saturday may prove to be the inspiration they require to succeed in achieving this season’s goals.
