Borussia Park was the place where M-Gladbach received a visit from Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. We have tonight’s player ratings.

The Borussia Derby took place today between M’Gladbach and Dortmund at Borussia Park for a new Bundesliga match. Both squads are currently trying to fight for the title against Bayern Munich in an atypically competitive season. The locals are currently playing fantastic football and today was another great night for them. Despite playing against a team with some of the best players in the world, the team’s effort prevailed above any individual name.

Nico Elvedi opened the score with a header after a previously practiced set-piece. After that came Borussia Dortmund’s delicatessen football explosion. Two goals in three minutes from Erling Haaland that were commanded by a brilliant Jadon Sancho. After this brace, we all thought this game was about to get quite exciting for the visitors. Gladbach’s equalizer came before the breakthrough another set-piece in which Elvedi scored on the rebound.

Gladbach becomes stronger at home.

After the break, we saw a beautiful second-half early goal from Bensebaini. It was a long-range shot that gave the locals a more relaxed chance to control the game. Dortmund attempted to get that third goal but the defense was brilliant from Gladbach, especially Stindl.

Near the end of the match, we got to see a header from Marcus Thuram that gave his side the final 4-2 victory. With this win, the locals remain steady in Champions League positions but still 8 points behind Bayern Munich. As far as Dortmund concerns, they’ve lowered their level of performance on the defensive aspect quite dramatically.
