After Jurgen Klopp made his comments about Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium, many responded to the diss but Valdano had the best answer.

Jurgen Klopp’s comments about Alfredo Di Stefano stadium last week were extremely out of line for people like Jorge Valdano. The Argentine pundit and former player couldn’t hold back on his response to the utter disrespect from the Liverpool manager. In fact, he felt the need to also snap back at him during a recent interview for El Transistor. We previously heard from Ronald Koeman himself coming out to defend Real Madrid from Klopp’s comments.

But having a past as a Los Blancos’ player must’ve hit a nerve for Valdano, especially when it comes to Alfredo Di Stefano’s memory. Jorge decided to pull out the “money” card on Klopp by belittling Anfield Road, one of Europe’s most beloved stadiums. This is the type of response you can get from a Real Madrid supporter who absolutely hated Klopp’s comments.

Valdano’s full response to Jurgen Klopp.

It happened earlier today during an interview with El Transistor, which is an Onda Cero radio show in Spain. After this response from Valdano, we still haven’t heard anything from Klopp regarding this issue. This is what Valdano said: “What you have to consider is that Real Madrid don’t play at Valdebebas to gain a competitive advantage. An empty [Estadio Santiago] Bernabeu is still imposing and affects opponents negatively.

“Therefore, Madrid actually lose out on a sporting advantage by playing there. What [Ronald] Koeman said is also true: Madrid have taken advantage of the situation to create a 21st-century stadium, and when it’s ready the stadium that’ll look like a training ground is Anfield if we’re comparing [the two]. “You have to keep up with the times.”
