As we move towards the end of the summer transfer window, let’s take a look into Robert Lewandowski’s future with Bayern Munich.

It has been some time that Robert Lewandowski has been linked to making a move away from Bayern Munich. In fact, some reports mentioned that the star man requested to leave the club. And the Bundesliga champions had marked the Poland international with a price tag of £110 million. However, according to a report from Goal, Lewandowski will not be sold this summer and Bayern will keep him for their best interests.

As a matter of truth, the Polish has accepted the club’s decision to not put him for sale and will not try to make any further moves. Not surprising to anyone, several elite European teams were manifesting a bid for Lewandowski following his heroics during the last season. Indeed, he helped his side lift their ninth consecutive German title after a goalscoring exhibition.

Uncovering the striker’s situation.

Among the many, Chelsea were reported to have a substantial attraction towards the 32-year-old striker before Romelu Lukaku. Some rumours also indicated that Lewandowski was proposing a transfer before the end of this summer’s window. Although, it seems that Bayern will stay rigid on their verdict and not sell him for any price any time soon.

Lewandowksi, though, does not have any issues regarding this decision and will continue playing regularly for the Bavarians. A major reason behind his consent is his contract which expires in 2023. The Bayern attacker will have just 12 months left next summer and will be able to forge transfer negotiations better than this time. Anyhow, Bayern will play their first home Bundesliga game on Sunday against Koln with Lewandowski on the forefront.
