Arsenal in talks for Tavares as Tierney understudy
The Gunners are in transfer talks with Benfica for Nuno Tavares as a potential back-up for Kieran Tierney.
A fee of around £7 million is reportedly under discussion between Arsenal and Benfica. Talks for Tavares are progressing between the clubs, although nothing is set in stone just yet. Ramos has offers from three clubs
Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich have all reportedly made transfer offers to Sergio Ramos.
The former Real Madrid captain will officially become a free agent on Wednesday. He is currently considering the ‘pros and cons of each option’, especially in regards to how it affects his family. [ESPN]
Tottenham can’t extend Bale’s loan deal
Gareth Bale is all but set to return to Real Madrid as Tottenham don’t have an option to extend his loan deal for a second season.
The 31-year-old’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has confirmed Spurs have no such option on Bale. He also reiterated that his client remains under contract with Real Madrid for another 12 months. [Evening Standard]
Arsenal reject another Smith Rowe bid from Villa
Aston Villa have seen a second transfer bid for Emile Smith Rowe of around £30 million rejected.
After seeing an initial offer of around £25m come to nothing, Dean Smith’s side returned with an improved offer. Arsenal, though, have no interest in selling Smith Rowe whatsoever. In fact, the Gunners are in talks with the midfielder over a new long-term contract. [Sky Sports]
Brandt to stay at Dortmund
Despite alleged interest from Lazio and AS Roma, Julian Brandt appears set to stay at Borussia Dortmund.

The Gunners have reportedly asked Lille to keep them in the loop regarding any transfer developments over Renato Sanches.
