It appears that after half a season, Tottenham has a few reasons for regretting Gareth Bale’s loan from Real Madrid during the summer.

When Gareth Bale arrived at Tottenham Hotspur, he came from Real Madrid under a lot of criticism for his attitude problem. Los Blancos were also heavily criticized for not giving him enough opportunities, especially in Wales. The Welsh press was obviously behind Bale’s back and this deceived Jose Mourinho to believe Gareth was the same player he always knew. But the reality was far from what was advertised.

It took the Portuguese manager a few months to realize the Cardiff man was already living through his retirement years. According to sources close to the club, Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy have agreed they will return Gareth Bale to Madrid at the end of the season. The problem will return to Los Blancos during the summer but the Spanish club will attempt to sell the Welshman to a new club.

Zidane was right all along.

Not only with Gareth Bale, but with James Rodriguez as well. Zinedine Zidane was right to let both players leave last summer. As Los Blancos are trying to fight for La Liga this season without them, sending both flops away was an absolute home run for ‘Zizou’. All the critics who opposed this decision are quickly starting to realize the French manager was accurate with his assessment of both players.

While Bale is already thinking as a retiree, James suffers from injuries on a constant basis. Amongst the English media, there is already an idea about Gareth Bale’s career. He seems like a finished veteran more than a player in search of his old form. The Spurs have been duked by Real Madrid.
