Thomas Meunier compares Jadon Sancho to Kylian Mbappe

Now that he’s got a better understanding of both players, Thomas Meunier compared Jadon Sancho’s talent to Kylian Mbappe’s.

There is no doubt that Jadon Sancho and Kylian Mbappe are two of the best young players in the world right now. They both wear their club’s number ’7’ jersey and they both play as wingers. Sancho has a slight edge when it comes to providing assists and Mbappe is far superior with his goal-scoring.

These two are amongst the footballers who seem destined to follow the tradition that Messi and Ronaldo will leave after they retire. We’ve always wanted to know first-hand what it was like to play with both of them, and we finally have an account. Belgian full-back, Thomas Meunier played with both players.

At PSG, the defender shared the dressing room with the French forward as now he does with Sancho. There are few footballers who have that luxury, it’s like playing with a younger Messi and Ronaldo throughout your career.

“Jadon is a bit sneaky,” Meunier said. “He always wants to nutmeg you or dribble past you. It’s a bit like a humiliation. He wants you to know that he’s better than you.

“Mbappe is the same – they are a bit arrogant in the way they play. There are ways to stop them – you take the ball or take the man!”

“They’re fantastic, not only as footballers, but as people. They are all conscious of the fact we have the quality to do something great. We all want to win titles, and everyone is going in the same directions. They can be 17 or 25 – it makes no difference.”
