Borussia Dortmund director Sebastian Kehl says Jadon Sancho might leave the club some day but not just in the current transfer window.

Jadon Sancho could eventually be up for sale on the transfer market but he is expected to stay put with Dortmund this summer.

Manchester United have been desperate to sign the English forward throughout the summer but the German giants would not sell unless their asking price was met.

To part ways with Sancho, Dortmund wanted a deal to be completed before their pre-season training camp started on August 10. The Red Devils ted failed to meet the reported €120 million before then.

Dortmund then pulled the plug on any transfer and decided to keep their star player this summer. More than once, the German side have mentioned their decision to keep the ex-City man at the club.

Sancho himself has also spoken publicly on how he is happy at Dortmund at the moment. Once again, Dortmund director Sebastian Kehl has reiterated that the 20-year-old will not be leaving Signal Iduna Park this summer at least.

“Sancho has trained well and professionally,” Kehl told Ruhr Nachrichten.

“He is happy to play football.”

“Yes, someday he might leave for a new challenge but right now he is happy at Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Dortmund is happy to have him.”

“He is here – and he will stay here. It was an important statement from the club because we have a certain responsibility. Without him, this team is worse.”

Considering how many times Dortmund have tightened their stance on Sancho, it would make sense for United to back down for now at least and focus on signings elsewhere.
