Jadon Sancho is pleased to be at Borussia Dortmund who also intend to keep him for at least one more season, says Sebastian Kehl.

The transfer saga involving Jadon Sancho and Manchester United appeared to have reached its conclusion when Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke publicly stated last week that they will not let go of their prized-asset this summer.

It is understood that Dortmund put a certain deadline for Man United to finalize the deal for Sancho. But the two clubs were much apart on their valuation of the player and they couldn’t reach an agreement within the prescribed deadline.

This prompted BVB to decide against selling Sancho, with the motive of making team plans around him for the coming season.

However, rumors have continued to surface regarding the English forward’s return to the Premier League.

And in an attempt to shut those rumors down, director Sebastian Kehl has reiterated that they will not budge on their insistence on keeping Sancho.

“Jadon is happy to stay. He has a contract until 2023. Everyone is very happy to have him. He is going to be here for at least one more season,” said Kehl, according to Goal.

“This team is the best we had. We have a mixture of very good, young, and mature players. We tried to develop the team in the last few years.

“Hopefully, we can win titles in the next season because titles are what matter the most in the end.”
