During an interview in his home country, Erling Haaland spoke as if Jadon Sancho wasn’t moving from Borussia Dortmund this season.

It’s safe to say that Erling Haaland struck a perfect partnership with Jadon Sancho when he arrived during the winter transfer window. We are talking about two of the most talented young players in the world at the moment. While the Englishman is about to start his third season with the club, Haaland just broke into the mainstream with an incredible debut season for a footballer as young as him.

We might not be ready for whatever these two might do with their club on every competition, but there’s a small issue here. Manchester United is pushing hard to get Sancho before the end of this transfer window.

The Red Devils offered €100 million for his services but Dortmund remains steady by demanding €120 million. This whole situation has become a true stalemate that is completely unpredictable. However, Erling Haaland might’ve just spilled some information that could give us a clue about Sancho’s future.

Haaland thinks Sancho will stay, for now…

This happened on Thursday during an interview in Norway: “I think Sancho has been very good throughout the whole pre-season,” Haaland told Viaplay Fotball.

“He will be an important player for us this season.”

“That’s not something that I am involved in,” he answered when questioned about the United links.

“Those in charge are responsible for that. I am not going to comment too much on that. But if he stays, I’ll be very happy, because he is both a good friend of mine and a hell of a player.”

Finally, they asked him about his own future in the next summer transfer window during 2021, to which he replied: “Now I will give you an answer you don’t often get from me. And that is: no comment.”
