Isco to Everton?

Isco is out of favor at Real Madrid and recently voiced his frustrations about it. In fact, he has made just two starts under Zinedine Zidane in all competitions this season. An exit, therefore, appears inevitable.

Instead of staying in Spain, however, Isco is interested in reuniting with his old Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti, who signed his old teammate James Rodriguez in the summer, at Everton. [Sunday Mirror]

Chelsea plot move for Ahmedhodzic

Anel Ahmedhodzic had an impressive 2019/20 campaign at Swedish side Malmo and is now a subject of interest to Chelsea.

The Blues have kept close tabs on the former Nottingham Forest defender’s progress and are considering a €8m bid. But, with almost three years left on his contract, Malmo may hold out for a higher fee. [Expressen – in Swedish]

Simeone eyes dream Suarez-Zapata partnership

Luis Suarez has enjoyed a solid start to his Atletico Madrid career by scoring four goals in his opening five LaLiga games. But while satisfied with his new striker, Diego Simeone feels more firepower is required.

The Atletico boss, therefore, has made Atalanta star Duvan Zapata a target to partner Suarez in the attack. [Calciomercato – in Italian]

Mandzukic ‘turned down’ Aston Villa

Mario Mandzukic is a free agent upon having his contract with Qatari side Al-Duhai terminated by mutual consent. Several clubs have since shown interest, including Fenerbahce, Fiorentina, Lokomotiv Moscow, and Inter Milan.

One club that the former Juventus and Bayern Munich striker won’t be joining, however, is Aston Villa. He apparently ‘turned down’ the chance to link-up with the Villains in the Premier League this season. [Birmingham Mail]
