Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos was eager to help the club back to winning ways with a big decision taken after their loss to Shakhtar Donetsk.

A report has claimed Sergio Ramos organized a players-only crisis following his side’s 2-0 loss to Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Tuesday. That result puts Los Blancos’ chances of qualification in huge doubt.

The Los Blancos captain reportedly told the players about the importance of their final group game.

Ramos is aware Real Madrid must beat Monchengladbach or claim a point and hope results go their way in order to stand a chance of making it to the knockout stages.

The Spanish giants have made the knockout stages of the competition in their past 24 seasons consecutively. There is a chance they could miss out on this one.

With a record of nine goals conceded after five games so far (their worst in the competition), Ramos reportedly held a meeting with players only after their loss.

AS claims that the Spaniard told his team-mates: “We are one victory away from getting through in the Champions League, we depend on ourselves, and we have to give everything.”

“This is Real Madrid, gentlemen. Together, we’ve come out of worse.”

All these events continue to heap pressure on the under-fire manager Zinedine Zidane.

However, a number of figures close to the club have called for patience with the Frenchman.
