Iker Casillas is the latest Real Madrid legend to have his say on Zinedine Zidane’s future as manager of the club.

Zinedine Zidane has earned himself the right to get more time as Madrid boss due to his impressive achievements in the past as Los Blancos boss.

The Frenchman has seen his future at the club come under intense scrutiny following a poor run of form at the club.

The Spanish giants can only boast of one win in their last five games across all competitions.

It gets even worse as Zidane and Real Madrid face the prospect of missing out on the Champions League Round of 16, depending on the final round of results.

However, a number of names believe the iconic Frenchman should be given the grace and time to turn things around. It comes after Real Madrid legend Hugo Sanchez mentioned that sacking the 48-year-old would be a ‘hasty’ decision.

Casillas is the latest to speak out and believes all the achievements Zidane has as Los Blancos boss speak for themselves.

The Frenchman guided Madrid to three successive Champions League titles in his first stint in charge and won a second league title last term.

Casillas has now called on his former teammate to be given more time at the club.

“Zizou is a magnificent coach, a good friend, and will do everything possible to have Madrid as high up as possible,” he told AS.

“You cannot live in the past, but he has earned the right for trust.”

Despite all the recent struggles and uncertainty at the club, Florentino Perez might still be willing to give Zidane just a bit more time to turn things around.
