Chelsea among four big clubs ‘to make an offer’ for Lewandowski

The Blues have reportedly tabled a transfer offer to Robert Lewandowski.

Despite being under contract at Bayern Munich until 2023, Lewandowski is considering a change of scene. He believes the time is right to experience another league and culture. And it seems a summer move won’t be hard to make happen, with ‘several top teams’ having made an offer.

Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, and Manchester United are allegedly among those clubs. Real Madrid could also throw their hat in the ring if an attempt to sign Erling Haaland doesn’t work out. [Diario AS – in Spanish]

Liverpool to rival Bayern Munich for Neuhaus

Florian Neuhaus is a wanted man as Liverpool join Bayern Munich in the race for Florian Neuhaus.

The Reds seek a replacement for the PSG-bound Georginio Wijnaldum this summer. Reports have linked several midfielders to the club, but it seems Neuhaus is the top target. Jurgen Klopp allegedly holds a strong interest in the versatile 24-year-old.

Liverpool have contacted Neuhaus’ club Borussia Monchengladbach. Talks, though, won’t advance until Germany’s Euro 2020 campaign is finished. [Sport1 – in German]

Pique hopes Haaland joins Barcelona

Gerard Pique would welcome Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland with open arms to Barcelona.

The 34-year-old hopes a deal to sign Haaland is possible but admitted that he doesn’t have any influence on the transfer.

Fonseca closes in on Tottenham job

It seems AS Roma and Tottenham will make a direct swap in managers.

Paulo Fonseca, who has been replaced by Jose Mourinho at Roma for next season, is now set to fill the former Spurs manager’s boots over in north London for the 2021/22 campaign.

The Portuguese coach has agreed on a two-year contract in principle with Spurs. [Telegraph]

Arsenal ready big-money offer for White

The Gunners are preparing to fork out around £40-50 million to sign Brighton defender Ben White.

Mikel Arteta wants to sign a new right-sided central defender in the summer transfer market. Despite initial interest in Sevilla’s Jules Kounde, the Arsenal boss feels White fits the bill.

But while Arsenal are yet to make an approach to Brighton, the Seagulls won’t stand in White’s way for the right price. [The Athletic]

Will Ramos return to Sevilla?

Sergio Ramos is out of contract at Real Madrid in July, and a summer exit seems imminent.

The 35-year-old’s boyhood side Sevilla, therefore, have made a transfer offer. Julen Lopetegui’s men have tabled a five-year deal which includes a €7 million annual salary. Ramos will also have the chance to continue at the club once he eventually retires. [esRadio – in Spanish]
