The star’s elite mentality was on full display in the newly released Amazon documentary, ‘All or Nothing: Juventus’.

Self-belief and the desire to win at all costs are just one of many traits that make Cristiano Ronaldo a one-of-a-kind athlete.

The 36-year-old is always hungry for more despite everything he has achieved in the game. This was showcased yet again in the documentary, ‘All or Nothing: Juventus’. The series, which premiered on Amazon Prime this week, followed the Italian club during the 2020/21 season. It gave us behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive interviews with players and staff over the course of the campaign.

And, of course, one of the biggest topics was Juventus’ star player at the time, Ronaldo.

The documentary gave us a chance to see how seriously Ronaldo applies himself at work, from his strict diet to even how he interacts with his teammates. It had a bit of everything.

Ronaldo’s Barcelona prediction

But one moment that stood out was before a trip to Camp Nou to face Barcelona in the Champions League in December 2020.

Given that a Ronaldo-less Juventus had lost the first match 2-0 in Turin and needed to beat Barca by three goals or more to win Group G, Pavel Nedved wasn’t confident.

“We can’t win 3-0 against Barcelona,” the vice-chairman told former Chief Football Officer Fabio Paratici.

However, in another fine example of CR7’s winning mentality, Paratici quickly replied: “Cristiano said we can.”

“Did he?” said a surprised Nedved.

So, what happened? Ronaldo proved Nedved wrong by helping Juve demolish Barca 3-0. The Portuguese ace scored twice in the game, with Weston McKennie also on target to seal a famous win.
