James Rodriguez has revealed all about his relationship with Zinedine Zidane and being held at Real Madrid against his will.

James Rodriguez’s future at Real Madrid is surely over after another season of discontent and little action on the field of play.

The 2014 World Cup Golden Boot winner has had a torrid time at Real Madrid, but this season appears to have seen the player hit rock bottom.

The Colombian international has remained relatively quiet and supportive of his team and manager up until now, even though things are obviously far from ok.

However, now that the season is officially over, he has hit out at both Real Madrid and Zidane.

In an interview with Realeza del Fútbol Latino, he reveals he is being held against his will by Los Blancos and while he would love to play while he is being kept there the manager is not playing fair and even giving him a fair shot at making the team.

Rodriguez said:

“Not playing is frustrating, I know I have the conditions to always play, but because of other people, I cannot do it.”

“If I were a bad player, I would accept it, but I’m a person who wants to win and always play.”

“When you see you don’t have the same opportunities as your team-mates, it’s hard. I wanted to leave but the club wouldn’t let me.”

“He has his own tastes for some players and you have to respect that, I don’t get involved with things like that.”

“I wanted to go somewhere where I would have played, as I knew that I wouldn’t have chances to do that under Zidane because he already has his base.”

Was Rodriguez ever given the chance to be one of the best Galacticos?
