It has been quite a tough week for Alisson, hasn’t it? Just six days after committing two mistakes that helped Manchester City thrash Liverpool, the goalkeeper found himself in the middle of controversy once again.

The Reds were tied against Leicester and it looked like the match’s result could go either way. However, it all went downhill for Liverpool as Tielemans passed a long ball in the direction of Barnes. Although Kabak looked like he had the situation under control, Alisson rushed off his line and ended up crashing into Liverpool’s new defender. Jamie Vardy then easily took advantage of the defensive-line’s mistake and put Leicester in the lead.

According to Rio Ferdinand, the goalkeeper is responsible for what happened at King Power Stadium. The Manchester United legend believes Alisson should’ve communicated a lot better with his defender.

“That clip there, the keeper’s got to take control of the situation. Scream to his new young center-half. A new, young center-half ‘get out the way’, Again that’s a lack of confidence,” Ferdinand claimed on BT Sport. “We never put mistakes at this man’s door until this season.”

Klopp couldn’t put his finger on the reason why Alisson and Kabak collided.

Jurgen Klopp was lost for words after the game and wasn’t able to justify the incident that put Leicester in the lead against his team. However, the manager did admit that he did not hear Alisson claim the ball before it all went down.

“Ali was confident, played a super game, super saves. But in that moment, maybe because of last week, who knows? I didn’t hear him shouting, to be honest. I’m not sure he said something or not. Ozan doesn’t know him long enough. Is he coming? Is he not coming?”

Liverpool suffered their third loss in a row and now sit 10 points behind Manchester City with two games in hand.
