Report: Manchester United reach an agreement for Lingard’s loan

Jesse Lingard is about to leave Manchester United for the first time in seven years to join another Premier League club.

Jesse Lingard is on the brink of leaving Manchester United for the first time since 2014 as the club has reportedly reached an agreement to loan him out. The 28-year-old hasn’t had much game time this season at Old Trafford which made him consider a move away from Manchester.

Although Newcastle and West Brom have displayed their interest in signing the United outcast, he has decided on another Premier League side. According to Sky Sports, Jesse Lingard will join West Ham United on a loan deal till the end of the season. The English clubs have reportedly reached an agreement regarding the loan fees and the deal will be announced very soon.

Lingard becomes a Hammer after six years as a part of Manchester United’s first-team squad. West Ham will have to spend at least €3 million on loan fees and wages all together.

According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United still have a few deals to complete in the upcoming days. Marcos Rojo is in advanced talks to move back to his home country of Argentina. The defender, who hasn’t played a single match for United’s first team this season, will sign for Boca Juniors as his contract ends in June.

Moreover, 19-year-old Facundo Pellistri has several loan offers from Spanish clubs and is expected to leave Manchester in order to get some more game time. The youngster has been working well with United’s Under-23 squad but could use some experience on a higher level.
