The Premier League awards for the best player, manager, and goal have been announced for the month of October 2021.

Player of the Month – Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah has won the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for the fourth time in his career.

The Egypt international hammered home five goals in four games across the month, including a hat-trick at Old Trafford in Liverpool’s 5-0 mauling of Manchester United. He also scored two brilliant solo efforts against Manchester City and Watford.

Salah beat Ben Chilwell (Chelsea), Maxwel Cornet (Aston Villa), Phil Foden (Man City), Tino Livramento (Southampton), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal), Declan Rice (West Ham), and Youri Tielemans (Leicester) for the award.

Manager of the Month – Thomas Tuchel

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has got the nod as the Premier League Manager of the Month for October.

The German claimed the award for the second time in his career after leading Chelsea to four consecutive wins in October, including a mind-blowing 7-0 victory over Norwich City.

Tuchel beat fellow Premier League managers Jurgen Klopp (Liverpool), David Moyes (West Ham) and Patrick Vieira (Crystal Palace) for the award.

Goal of the Month – Mohamed Salah

Really, who else was it going to be? Salah’s brilliant solo effort in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with City at Anfield last month gets the nod for Goal of the Month.

The Egyptian King weaved his way past around three defenders before slotting the ball cooly past goalkeeper Ederson.

He has claimed the double for October, having also won the league’s Player of the Month. Jesse Lingard was the last player to do this in March 2021 for West Ham United.
