Salah, however, was quick to restore the hosts’ lead. It was a stunning solo goal by the Egyptian winger as he dribbled past three defenders before escaping a challenge from another one in the area and ultimately finished the chance from an acute angle with his weaker right foot.
Kevin De Bruyne had the final say in the thrilling 2-2 draw as he level the score in the last ten minutes to ensure his side do not walk away empty-handed.
