Andrea Pirlo says bringing in a new striker is not a priority for Juventus before the end of the current transfer window.

Andrea Pirlo insists a new striker is not a priority for Juventus even if Paulo Dybala continues to struggle with knee issues.

The Bianconeri eased past Bologna 2-0 at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday. Goals from Arthur and Weston McKennie proved to be the difference as Juventus returned to winning ways in Serie A.

Despite claiming Juve should have been more clinical, Pirlo insists that there is no burning need to bring in a new window before the January transfer window is concluded.

“We don’t need a new striker,” he said as per Sky Sport Italia.

“We are monitoring the situation, but a new striker is not a priority.”

Paulo Dybala remains out injured with a knee problem and Pirlo also gave an update on the 27-year-old.

“He is trying to improve, he has problems at his knee. We’ll evaluate him day by day,” he added.

Despite their loss to Atalanta, Milan remain top of Serie A, and Pirlo says Juventus are only focused on themselves at the moment.

Juventus are now seven points behind table leaders Milan, but with one game in hand.

“We must only focus about ourselves, our path depends on what we do.”

“Both Milan and Inter want to win the title and the same is true of Roma and Napoli, it will be a fight until the end.”
