Jerome Rothen is certain Neymar will be hit with a four-match ban after accusing Alvaro Gonzalez of racism.
Neymar was one of five players to be shown a red card late into last Sunday’s Le Classique between Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille.
VAR caught the Brazilian red-handed hitting Alvaro on the back of the head. He was then heard on the pitchside microphones accusing the Marseille man of racism to one of the match officials as PSG fell to a disappointing 1-0 defeat.
Alvaro has since denied these accusations and a review is now pending from the French football’s governing body, Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), regarding the matter. A decision could be made on Wednesday or before the end of the week.
RACISTA ✊🏽

But while both players have the unconditional support of their respective clubs, Rothen is already convinced a suspension awaits Neymar.
“For Neymar, it will be four games, I’m sure,” the former French winger told RMC Sport. “I’ve been there before after fighting on a field. I had four games.”
Leandro Paredes and Layvin Kurzawa were also sent off for PSG in the heated clash with Marseille, who lost Jordan Amavi and Dario Benedetto themselves.
Thomas Tuchel’s men will return to action tonight for the third fixture of their Ligue 1 campaign against Metz at the Parc des Princes.
