Bayern Munich face-off against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final with a historic treble in their sights.

No one would have assumed that Bayern Munich would be seeking a historic treble by the end of the season. Eintracht Frankfurt’s 5-1 win showed they were not functioning properly.

Niko Kovac was sacked and Hansi Flick made interim manager. The rest as they say is history.

The Bavarians found form immediately. They beat Borussia Dortmund 4-0 and have not looked back since. Bundesliga title was secure and the DFB Pokal added to their ranks.

Die Roten have been spectacular in the Champions League and take on the challenge of PSG in the final. Chelsea, Barcelona and Olympique Lyon have been demolish along the way.

Bayern are not done yet. They are beckoning on making history with a treble firmly in their crosshairs.

Thomas Muller has been reinvigorated under Flick. The youth academy graduate is central to their goalscoring exploits and an ever-present figure on the pitch.

Muller is eagerly awaiting the final on Sunday which promises to offer something for fans and neutrals alike. The German wants to be crowned ‘kings of Europe’ and only PSG stand in their way.

“It will be a terrific final with two great teams!”, Muller told FCBayern.com

“It’s an incredible incentive to win this Champions League. We want to be the kings of Europe!”

“It’s a huge motivation to accomplish this historic feat,” Muller added. “The unbelievable can happen that we can win the treble a second time in a relatively short period and it would be the first treble for many of the players.”
