TOP STORY: Saudi Clubs Target Liverpool’s Salah and Alisson

Saudi Arabian clubs are reportedly eyeing two Liverpool stars, Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker, according to the Guardian.

Interest in Salah is expected to resurface after Al Ittihad’s previous £150 million offer last summer. With Salah entering the final year of his contract next month, a renewed bid for the 31-year-old winger could materialize. Meanwhile, 31-year-old goalkeeper Alisson is on the wishlist of several Saudi Pro League clubs aiming to boost the league’s profile. However, with over three years left on his contract, a move for Alisson seems more challenging, while Salah appears more open to the idea.

  • Manchester United are targeting Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins, per talkSPORT. The 28-year-old fits United’s desired profile, but his importance to Villa, who have qualified for the UEFA Champions League, could complicate any deal.
  • Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez seeks a move to MLS, according to Relevo. The 34-year-old rejected Bayer Leverkusen and prefers a Designated Player deal in the U.S. to maintain his current salary.
  • Manchester City and goalkeeper Stefan Ortega are struggling to agree on a new contract, reports the Daily Mail. With one year left on his deal, Ortega wants more first-team assurances, having made 18 appearances this season as Ederson’s deputy.
  • Arsenal are interested in RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, reports the Telegraph. The 20-year-old is on the radar of multiple Premier League clubs, but Arsenal might lead the race with a potential bid over €60 million, as his release clause is €65 million.
  • Internazionale plan a meeting with Genoa over striker Albert Gudmundsson, according to Gazzetta dello Sport. Inter aim for a loan with a mandatory permanent clause worth €30-35 million and may include 23-year-old forward Martín Satriano and 21-year-old right-back Mattia Zanotti in the deal.
