The Argentine attacker is running out of contract at Camp Nou and is said to be interested in reuniting with Neymar at Parc des Princes.

Mauricio Pochettino has refused to rule out the possibility of Lionel Messi joining Paris Saint-Germain.

Messi is yet to put pen to paper to a new Barcelona contract despite his current one expiring at the end of the season.

Paris Saint-Germain, among a few other clubs, has been mooted as the next destination for the six-time Ballon d’Or winner who is now free to hold talks with other clubs over a transfer.

Neymar earlier openly expressed a desire to reunite with his former partner in crime, and it has been suggested that the interest is mutual.

Rumors linking Messi to PSG have intensified lately now that his compatriot Pochettino has been handed the team’s managerial reigns.

“We leave the rumors aside. All great players are welcome at PSG,” the former Tottenham manager commented on those rumors in his first press conference as the PSG head coach, via Goal.

“Father Christmas has been generous with me, I take this opportunity to thank president Nasser [Al-Khelaifi] and [sporting director] Leonardo for the trust and to be in this great club and back in this house.

“It’s one of the biggest clubs, if not the biggest in the world, so it’s normal that there are rumors. We have just arrived so we leave them aside.”
