The Netherlands international could reportedly be on his way out of Barcelona after a lack of game time this season.

Barcelona forward Memphis Depay won’t be joining Inter Milan in the January transfer window, according to the player’s lawyer, Sebastien Ledure.

Despite finishing last season as the club’s joint-top scorer alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang with 13 goals, Depay has lost favor this term. He has only played twice in LaLiga, one time in the Champions League, and once in the Copa del Rey.

Various reports have linked the 28-year-old with winter moves to Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan.

“There are no negotiations ongoing for Memphis to join Inter,” Ledure told Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

“I can deny all these links, it’s not a possibility that we are discussing.”

Depay joined Barcelona on a free transfer from Lyon in the summer of 2021. In 42 appearances, he has managed 14 goals and two assists. His contract at the club ends this summer.

Fresh from their Spanish Super Cup success, Barcelona return to action on Thursday evening. They’ll visit third-tier side AD Ceuta for a Copa del Rey match in the round of 16.
