After this week’s heroics against Bayern Munich, Kylian Mbappe broke another one of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s records obtained at PSG.

Kylian Mbappe is slowly overtaking many of the accomplishments that Zlatan Ibrahimovic did during his time as PSG’s biggest star. During the years he served at the French club, Ibra was arguably amongst the best players in the world. However, he never really led his squad to resounding victories like Kylian Mbappe is at the moment. Specifically this season, he already took his squad to wins at Allianz Stadium and Camp Nou in knock-out stages.

There aren’t many “BIG” games in which Ibra was the top player during his career at PSG. If that wasn’t enough, Mbappe’s two goals took another one of Ibrahimovic’s accomplishments during his time in Paris. In the Champions League, Zlatan managed to score a total of 20 goals with the PSG shirt but Edinson Cavani surpassed him by 10 goals before moving to Manchester United. Mbappe will leave both players far behind if he stays at the club for another season.

How many goals did Mbappe score so far?

With his two goals against Bayern Munich, Kylian Mbappe surpassed Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s 20 goals for PSG. Although he still has at least three more matches to score more goals, getting to Cavani’s 30 is highly unlikely. It is very possible that the youngster will stay as number two on the all-time list because he will probably leave PSG this summer.

But we can’t discredit everything Mbappe has done for the French giants. If everything goes according to plan, PSG might win the Champions League this season with Kylian as their biggest star. Even if he diesn’t finish at the top of this particular list, he will do what either Zlatan or Cavani were able to accomplish in so many years at PSG. Winning the Champions League would surpass any record that Kylian Mbappe won’t break because he will leave.
