The Red Devils’ upcoming opponents prevented them from having a bright start to the campaign, and they are now out for revenge.

Manchester United have “a score to settle” against Crystal Palace, says Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of their second Premier League meeting of the season.

Man Utd suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford. What’s worse is that it was United’s opening game of the 2020-21 campaign.

With a bad tone set, they continued to stutter and were only able to pick up the pace later near the second half of the campaign.

17 points now separate the two sides in the league standings, with the Red devils occupying the second spot and the Eagles sitting down at 13th.

“They have some very experienced players that know the game. We felt that early on in the first game of the season of course. They counterattacked a few times against us and scored,” Solskjaer told the official club website. “So we’ve got a score to settle to be honest.

“We need to get back to winning ways. We want three points. We know it’s going to be a battle.

“We’ve got to be really precise and show high quality in the last third because they’re not going to give you both, you have to earn them and we’ve got to defend well against their set-plays and counterattacks.”
