The Red Devils, who have been without two of their key players, have managed only two wins in their previous seven league matches.

Edinson Cavani is in contention to make his return from injury in Manchester United’s upcoming match against Crystal Palace.

Paul Pogba, however, will remain unavailable for the Premier League fixture on Wednesday.

The Uruguayan striker last featured in the 1-1 draw with West Brom in mid-February. He picked up a muscle injury in the match and has missed the previous four games for the Red Devils.

As for the French midfielder, he has been on the sidelines since the first week of February due to a hamstring injury sustained in the six-goal thriller against Everton.

“Edi has trained this morning and hopefully there is no reaction,” Solskjaer. told the club media of Cavani on Tuesday. “There are another couple of knocks that we have to look at, from after the [Chelsea] game, and from the season’s wear and tear.

“It looks good. Edi has got the desire and hunger and, of course, he wants to join in, even if it’s from the bench. Hopefully, he’ll say tomorrow that there’s been no reaction.”

On Pogba, he added: “Paul is still not ready for us, no. He’s feeling better. He’s not been training with the team yet, so he’s definitely not traveling down to London, no.”
