The Tottenham captain branded the Europa League exit as a ‘disgrace’ and hinted the dressing room is fractured.

Hugo Lloris believes Tottenham’s Europa League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb “reflects what’s going on inside the club” and branded the result “a disgrace”.

Despite holding a two-goal aggregate lead, Spurs crashed out of the Europa League last-16 stage following a 3-0 loss to Dinamo Zagreb after extra time during Thursday’s second leg.

Mislav Orsic scored all three goals for the Croatian side to seal a shock comeback win and leave Spurs manager Jose Mourinho, who claimed his players failed “at the basics of life”, in the firing line.

“It’s just a disgrace,” Goalkeeper Lloris told BT Sport. “I hope everyone in the changing room feels responsible.

“The team at the moment just reflects what’s going on inside the club.

“We have lack of basics, lack of fundamentals. All performance is just in relation to that.

“The way we play is just not enough. We had a great moment in the past because we could trust the togetherness in the team.

“Today, I’m not sure about that.”

Spurs will hope to snap out of a two-match losing streak in Sunday’s visit to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
