The Reds had a number of key players missing from the line-up in Sunday’s outing but it didn’t look like it from their performance.

Liverpool moved to third in the Premier League standings after a 3-1 victory over West Ham United.

Mohamed Salah got on the scoresheet twice. He sent a wonderful curling effort past Lukasz Fabianski near the hour-mark before drilling in another 11 minutes later.

Georginio Wijnaldum also found the net, scoring after a delightful one-two with Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain.

It was the second successive league win for the reigning champions who are showing strong signs of emerging from their winter slump, and Klopp was more than pleased with his side’s emphatic display at the London Stadium.

“It was a great game, a very professional game, very controlled against usually a flying side,” the Liverpool boss told Sky Sports.

“We didn’t create enough in the first half. We made little adjustments at half-time and it paid off. We scored wonderful goals, all three were unbelievable.

“Shaq I thought he passed the ball too early. What Mo [Salah] made of it was incredible. The first touch was unbelievable.

“These boys are a really good group. They’re not happy at not being successful, not winning, but they always have the right attitude.”
