An inspired Mohamed Salah ran the show as Liverpool recorded successive wins in the Premier League with a 3-1 victory over West Ham.

Mohamed Salah was the star of the day as Liverpool recorded yet another 3-1 win for their second match in succession.

After returning to winning ways in the Premier League with a similar victory over Tottenham, the Reds had it all to do against an in-form West Ham side.

Prior to the clash, the Hammers were unbeaten in their last six league games, claiming successive wins in their last four games. However, the Premier League’s top scorer in Mohamed Salah produced some magic that saw the reigning champions claim an easy win in the end. Sadio Mane missed the game due to injury but the Egyptian led the attack just well in his absence.

It was a first-half of little to no chances as both sides only had one shot at goal, although it was Liverpool who dominated possession.

The game came to life in the second half when Salah found space on the flank and breezed past two players to send an unstoppable curler past Fabianski in the 54th minute.

It was a relief for the 28-year-old as he ended his six-game drought without a goal in the league.

The Egyptian then took his tally to 15 league goals for the season after controlling a lofted pass from Shaqiri and finished with a deft touch for his second of the night.

Wijnaldum put the game beyond doubt with Liverpool’s third after a brilliant team effort in the 84th minute. Dawson then scored a consolation goal for West Ham three minutes later after he was left unmarked after a corner kick.

Two goals for Salah means he has now scored at least 20 goals consecutively for the past four seasons in a Liverpool jersey.

The win took Liverpool up to the third place and just one point behind second-placed Manchester United.
