Paul Pogba has revealed what his ‘cunning’ and ‘smart’ France teammate N’Golo Kante is really like.
Paul Pogba rates N’Golo Kante as ‘the most beloved player in the history of football’, but he admits the Chelsea star has a crafty side as well.
While his performances in the Chelsea midfield have provided rival fans nothing but grief over the years, Kante is one player nobody can dislike. He’s easily one of the most humble and nicest footballers around.
From driving a Mini Cooper, going out for £10 haircuts, and even accepting dinner invites from fans, Kante’s modesty has amazed supporters.

But for winning, even in a simple board game, the Frenchman will stop at nothing to come out on top.
“He cheats a lot. A lot,” Pogba told beIN Sports.
“At card games, board games. Honestly, I’m telling the truth. He cheats.
“He says he doesn’t cheat, but he does. He uses cunning. He’s a smart kid, N’Golo. But it’s okay. You have to love him.
“He’s the most beloved player in the history of football. You’ve got to love him, you cannot hate him, it is not possible.
“He is humble, kind, professional. He will never complain, he will work.”

The Manchester United midfielder also opened up on his France teammate’s superb skills as a footballer.
“He’s got everything,” Pogba said on Kante’s abilities.
“He’s good technically, with a good passing quality, and he’s everywhere on the pitch.
“I even say he appears out of the ground! You don’t see him, and – poof – he’s out! He gets the ball, he has the finish. He’s everywhere.
“To have a player like that by your side, what more can you ask for?”
