It seems another high-profile transfer is on the cards for the Sky Blues, who only just broke the British transfer record.

Pep Guardiola has fueled Harry Kane to Manchester City rumors by confirming the club’s interest in signing the “exceptional, extraordinary striker.”

Guardiola’s comments come only a day after Man City splashed £100 million to secure the services of Jack Grealish from Aston Villa, making him the costliest English player ever as well as the most expensive signing by a Premier League club.

However, the Spanish manager’s statement will not exactly serve as a source of surprise for those keeping track of speculations in the past few weeks.

The Three Lions captain doesn’t see his future at Tottenham and is desperate for a move away, going so far as to even miss the team’s training sessions so as to push for an exit.

“He’s a player for Tottenham Hotspur. If Tottenham don’t want to negotiate, it’s finished,” Guardiola told reporters when asked about Kane, per Goal.

“If they are open to negotiate, I think not just Man City but many clubs in the world want to sign him – we are not an exception – but it depends on Tottenham.

“It’s different from Jack [Grealish]. He had a release clause and he is different.

“Harry Kane is an exceptional, extraordinary striker – no doubts about that, of course we are interested – but he is a Tottenham player and if they don’t want to negotiate there is nothing more to say. If they want to, we will try.”
