A picture has emerged showing how Barcelona use arch-enemy Cristiano Ronaldo to keep the players free of COVID-19 over at Camp Nou.

Cristiano Ronaldo, one of the most hated and feared players Barcelona have faced in the last decade, serves as an example for the Catalan squad to stay healthy.

Ronaldo tested positive for COVID-19 on multiple occasions last October and missed a handful of games, including a Champions League match between Juventus and Barcelona in Turin.

The 36-year-old’s positive result shocked the football world and raised awareness of coronavirus. As one of the most famous people on the planet, Ronaldo’s diagnosis made headlines everywhere. It reminded everybody of the risks of not following the recommended health guidelines, including the Barcelona squad itself.

The Blaugrana chiefs used CR7’s condition to remind all the players to take care of themselves by pinning the headline from Spanish paper Diario AS on the wall of the club’s dressing room.

“Cristiano returns a positive test for COVID-19 again and is out against Barca,” read the headline on the wall.

Without their star man leading the attack, Juventus crashed to a 2-0 home defeat. Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele scored to seal Barcelona a comfortable win on October 28.

But Ronaldo returned for the second group match in December to help Juventus exact their revenge by scoring twice in a 3-0 win at Camp Nou.
