After a beaming performance against Fulham, Kai Havertz is ready to face Real Madrid in the Champions League second leg next week.

Kai Havertz is aspired because of his brace that aided Chelsea to find the three points against Fulham on Saturday. The German sensation hopes to make it to the starting XI for the Champions League return fixture against Real Madrid next week. In a rugged battle to claim the top-four spot in the Premier League, Havertz’s double proved to be clinical for Thomas Tuchel & men.

The 21-year-old did not get the opportunity to feature in his side’s win against West Ham last week. Although, the former Bayer Leverkusen star was brought in by Tuchel in the second half during the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the European fixture. With that thought in mind, Havertz has a buoyant vibe regarding Chelsea’s clash with the Spanish giants next week.

He is desperate to start.

After bagging the brace against Fulham, he told Sky Sports: “I’m always desperate to start games. But I know we have a lot of quality players in the team and the other players play well as well. I keep going, train hard and give my best. We will see on Wednesday. I think it was very important.”

“We have to come in the top four of the Premier League. That is our goal for the season and this win today is crucial for us. Then, on Wednesday we have another important game so we’re happy with the win. I scored very early so it gave me a little bit of confidence. It is always good to score and I’m happy to help the team. I hope I can continue like this on Wednesday.”
