The Harry Kane transfer saga is set to move up another gear after the striker didn’t report back to Tottenham for pre-season training.
Harry Kane has not reported back to Tottenham from his summer vacation to begin pre-season training.
Due to his involvement in England’s run to the Euro 2020 final, Kane had an extended summer break in the Bahamas. He was scheduled to return on Monday for various tests, including one for COVID-19, and to assess his fitness.
But Sky Sports state that Kane was a no-show at the club’s training ground in Enfield. The England captain believes he has a gentleman’s agreement with Daniel Levy to leave and evidently expects the Spurs chairman to honor it.

At 28 years of age, he is keen to join a title-contending club amid interest from Manchester City.
The Premier League champions reportedly tabled a £100 million offer to Spurs at the end of June. Levy and the club’s new sporting director Fabio Paratici, however, turned it down. They also value the player at around £120m, suggesting a summer exit might not be possible.
Furthermore, Levy has Kane under contract until 2024 and has no desire to lose his star striker.
But as City attempt to sign Jack Grealish from Aston Villa for a reported £100 million fee, time is running out. If the Citizens get their man, a second lucrative bid for any other player may not be possible.
